Edmundo de Amicis
Book review by Val
This book is a diary of a schoolboy attending 3rd and 4th grade in an Italian town.
In this diary you can read about life in 1886.
This book isn’t full of adventures but it is full of real life experiences.
It is a very simple book, but it has a lot of teachings.
When you are reading the book, it “encourages you” to become a better person; to be nicer to people and help others when they need it.
I truly enjoyed reading about the life of Enrico Bottini and I highly recommend it to children up to 13 years old.
